The
challenge with this system was to fit a large
presentation into a relatively small space.
The customer and his wife were remodeling their
basement and wanted to create a dedicated room
for their home theater. We worked with their
designer and builder to put this system together.
The heart of the video portion was a Zenith
Pro-900 High Definition CRT Projector and an
8' wide screen (110" Diagonal).
Because
of a load-bearing girder that cut across the
ceiling of the room, we decided to mount the
projector inside a floor cabinet. The
customer already owned some of the audio equipment,
so we utilized as much of his gear as we could,
adding only a Marantz DVD Player and VCR.
The decor and sconce lighting help to add a
sense of volume to the room. I think that
the result is quite a stunning use of available
space.
